EMILY & ELLYAS WEDDING FILM BY HC VISUALS

"Nobody smile." That was the brief from the couple for their wedding party group shot. The intention being that they wanted to recreate a classic Victorian wedding style pose that we often see in dusty family albums or adorning the walls of country estates. Stoney faced individuals on the happiest day of their lives. This was all just for fun of course and couldn't have been further away from the true essence of Emily and Ellyas Hedsor House wedding. What can I say about these two and their wedding film...well first of all it's not your standard wedding film, my wedding films generally aren't, but theres something about this one... something that I cant quite pinpoint but something that is tangible at the same time. It just feels warm and joyous from beginning to end. It is, and this is a drum I bang a lot but for good reason, a true reflection of two wonderful people and their amazing wedding day.

From the first moment that I met Emily and Ellya I was made to feel like I was one of them, two kind, warm and fun humans who effortlessly took to being in front of camera, allowing their personalities to shine through.

It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of this wedding day and to capture it on film. I think you can see what i'm going on about when watching the two wedding films below, it is clear the love these two have for each other and I feel the wedding film really allows the characteristics of their day to shine though.

Now believe it or not, Emily and Ellya didn't want to spend a great deal of time in front of the camera with me and their photographer, they instead opted to have us mainly capturing natural moments that unfolded candidly. Now this something I can totally appreciate, my whole ethos is to give the couples what they want, and it is never my intention to turn the day into a wedding film shoot against a couples wishes, or to keep the couple from their guests for extended periods. 

Emily and Ellya's natural chemistry actually made my job particularly easy and capturing these natural moments of fun and joy were a breeze. We had a great time together and actually sitting down to edit their full wedding film did not feel like 'work' at all. Mind you it rarely does, I do believe I am in a privileged position being a wedding videographer, having worked in offices in the past this to me doesn't feel like a job! 

When searching for a wedding videographer its important to consider how well you gel with that person, given that you will be spending large amounts of time with them from bridal prep right through to the party. I like to think i'm a laid back, easy going guy, one that is easy to be around and, hopefully, will put you at ease on your wedding day. I can provide gentle direction during those posed moments, and capture natural moments that unfold throughout the day.
