Whilst first looks are still a little unorthodox in the UK between the Bride and Groom - it seems to be a far more American tradition with first looks in the UK reserved for the Bride and Father of the Bride - Chloe and Ryan made the case for it becoming much more common place. The couple were both extremely nervous leading up to the ceremony and the touching, pure moment of bliss and happiness that Chloe and Ryan were able to share together by the weir at The Compleat Angler, albeit with their Wedding Videographer and Photographer in tow, helped to alleviate the nerves they felt and made their ceremony all the more special to them.  

I'd love to see more couples engage in a first look, but equally appreciate how special it is for a Bride and Groom to see each other for the first time, and lock eyes as the Bride makes her way down the aisle.

Ultimately, when it comes to your wedding day you must ensure that you do whatever it is that makes you happy without giving in to outside influence that may or may not be conducive to producing the wedding day you dream of! Either way, I will be with you every step of the way to ensure that all of the moments that are important to you are captured on film and immortalised forever, in a discreet, fun, and unique way.

Chloe & RYans amazing wedding day, shot at The Compleat Angler, Marlow

Following the first look, Ryan took his position by the banks of the River to await the entrance of the Bridal Party. The ceremony location is without a doubt absolutely world class, particularly when you are blessed with the sunshine that Chloe and Ryan had. The backdrop of the Marlow Bridge, The River Thames, and the All Saints church is absolutely unbelievable. It truly paints a picture of a quintessential English wedding backdrop and really highlights the beauty of what Buckinghamshire has to offer!

After tying the knot Chloe and Ryan came back up the aisle together where a number of their wedding party set off confetti cannons which, coupled with their planned dip kiss, made for an epic moment in their wedding film! And so followed a short drinks reception before Chloe and Ryan set off on a river cruise down the Thames. On their return, they walked up the aisle again! This time being showered by confetti from their guests. Two aisle walks and two loads of confetti? Im all for it! 

The rest of the day unfolded in equally spectacular fashion. The couples photographer, Richard Puncheon, and I made use of all of the amazing locations the Compleat Angler has to offer for couple shots - the couple on the boat, riverside, on the bridge both on the pavement and in the centre of the road (yes we have to stop oncoming traffic because we always go the extra mile for our couples!) and smoke bomb shots with the bridal party and groomsmen by the weir.

We even got the opportunity to get creative with lighting and smoke in the evening, again by the river and on the bridge as shown in the photos above which, as you can see make for some truly remarkable moments.

All in all Chloe and Ryans wedding day at The Compleat Angler was truly memorable and one that I feel fortunate to have in my portfolio as a Buckinghamshire Wedding Videographer. Thank you Chloe and Ryan!
